Find Room for a Playroom

When we bought our house, we didn't envision any of the rooms as a playroom necessarily. But then our kiddos came along and our plans changed a bit! We looked at our "formal" living room and realized that we just aren't very "formal" people and the room wasn't being used enough. So, we decided to turn this room into a playroom. I love having it on the first floor because children love to be near you and I love to be able to hear them! It didn't take much to transform this room. It started as a chocolate brown color and I just added some polka dot stencils of a variety of colors (matching the new rug I purchased) for a whimsical and playful look.

With some bright curtains, fresh paint, a cool rug, and some organizing pieces...the playroom was created.

This room has many baskets, lots of labels, and little zones for playtime. I have a reading area, video area, toy area, train area, and art area.

The best part is that this room now fits our lifestyle and needs and it's filled with laughter each day!
