Have fun in August by planning some special days or making some monthly traditions that the kiddos look forward to. Here are some ideas to get you started!
Popsicle PartyMake the popsicles however you choose. You can buy the popsicle molds from a store (Walmart, Target) and pour koolaid into them to freeze. Or you can make your own popsicles from a paper cup and a popsicle stick. I loved these as a kid...peeling off the cup and licking my orange juice frozen treat! Or just use some Otter Pops that are on sale this time of year. Whatever way you choose to make the popsicles doesn't matter, but relax and enjoy them with the kiddos after dinner for dessert!
Arts and Crafts Day
As summer starts coming to an end, get creative with an activity and some "junk" around the house. The kiddos would love an opportunity to use their imaginations and create a masterpiece out of cotton balls, pieces of fabric, stickers, and popsicle sticks! It may not be the cutest project ever but they will love the process!
Water Day
Plan a whole day that revolves around water. Change the children from jammies into bathing suits right away and get them excited about all of the water fun you have planned. Let them spray the hoses, run through sprinklers, play on the slip-n-slide, jump in the blow up pool, and even draw on the driveway with ice. Anything having to do with water will be fun! And wow will they sleep good tonight!Pin It
